I’ve been smoking everyday for the last couple of months and now I think I’ve reached the point to where I’m adficted. I’m not trying to completly stop but I’d lik to cut back quite alot. I tried this last week and only got down to 5 times a week. any ideas?



There is a series of steps to stop….
1. Lock up your weed stash and put a bunch a bunch of “smoking kills” on the door.
2. Whenever you get the urge, just do something you like such as going to the mall or playing a video game. Guitar Hero pwns at getting my brain focused.
3. If you still have urges, then just picture yourself after 10 years of weed. The lameness of your life from years and weed and such will motivate you to stop,
If these steps don’t help, then consult a school or private psychiatrist.
You’re not addicted. As long as you have some self control, just stop. Seriously. It might feel like you can’t, but if you REALLY want to you could just stop now and never smoke again.

there are no known cases of physical dependency.
its all mental addiction, which means its in your head.
try cutting back to four times a week, twice a week, then once a week, then four times every two weeks, etc. ween yourself off it.
haha, cant get addicted to cannabis(weed). i’ve gone from smoking every day 2 times a day for 6 monthes to quitting cold turkey. you’ll be fine just dont buy large amounts, if you wanna cut down n only do it occasionally than only pick up a dime or dub when u feel like smokin out with a few friends
You can’t get physically addicted to weed. If you are able to voluntarily not smoke it for a day or two while you are in possession of it, It doesn’t seem that you are very psychologically addicted either.
It really comes down to your self control. Do you desire it strongly every day and, even so, not use it some days? If that is the case, than I would say you are in pretty good control – Just don’t smoke on days that you don’t think you should.
Despite what some say, studies have found that 8% of the population can be come addicted to weed. And I’ve had a few friends who really sweated when they tried. I like Post #1 — get rid of the weed, go cold turkey. The only other thing I know of is substituting cigarettes, for some reason it satisfies the addiction, but then you end up smoking cigarettes, so obviously it’s a last resort.
